Royal Chundu's Surroundings
For many of our guests, it's Victoria Falls that beckons them to this corner of the world. The world's largest sheet of falling water lies only 30km downstream from our location on the banks of Zambia's Zambezi River, making it the perfect day tour when staying with us.
Our setting places you close to this UNESCO World Heritage Site, but is removed enough to ensure the exclusivity and privacy desired by any discerning traveller. Royal Chundu is arguably the most luxurious way to experience the Falls. And with us, adventure meets tranquility in a unique location that unites Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport (former Livingstone International Airport) is a convenient 50km drive away. GPS Co-ordinates: 17°50'37.0"S 25°24'59.1"E
Royal Chundu's private setting on the Zambezi is protected by two sets of rapids, creating a quiet and peaceful environment for your getaway. The only boats you might see belong to the lodge or local mokoro fishermen. Further upstream, another spectacular natural landmark is found, Chobe National Park, which can be easily accessed on a day tour while staying with us.
Contact us to find out more about planning an African itinerary that combines these iconic landmarks, as well as other nearby destinations, whether further afield in Botswana or to the south in the Kruger National Park.
