Day 1-3: Rovos Rail, Pretoria to Victoria Falls
Once you land in Johannesburg for your adventure, you will be driven from OR Tambo Airport to the Rovos Rail Train station in Pretoria. Step back in time on board one of the finest luxury trains in the world. You’ll be expected to dress up for dinner as you wine and dine your way through spectacular landscapes en route from Pretoria to the Victoria Falls. You might even see some big game along the way as you enjoy an aperitif or two in the Observation Car.
Established in 1989, the Rovos Rail company has earned a well deserved reputation as a provider of the finest luxury train journeys in the Southern Hemisphere if not the world. Operating two restored classic trains each with 20 renovated original coaches, some from before the 1920s. Each train accommodates a maximum of 72 passengers in fine style. The rebuilt coaches contain the most spacious train suites in the world. Restored to a classic finish they offer every modern convenience one could possibly ask for.
Day 3-5: Royal Chundu, Victoria Falls
Arrive in style at Royal Chundu… You’ll be met at Victoria Falls and transferred to our home on the Zambezi, for a few nights with us. Relax and unwind along the shady banks of the Zambezi or take part in any number of activities available at the lodge, from sunset cruises to village tours. At the end of your stay you’ll be transferred to Livingstone Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg.
